Karen's Clay Studio is just that, a one person studio.

I work out of my studio and teach throwing at Space Studios Pottery Studio in Midland, MI. I am also an owner/artist involved in "Imagine That! an artists co-op" in Midland, MI

All pieces that come from my studio are hand made and individually decorated and glazed. The porcelain pieces are mid-fired to cone 6 and the stoneware pieces are low-fired to cone 04. I use a combination of commercial and glazes I mix myself. I am also working to incorporate my experience as an oil artist with my work as a potter.

All pieces are food safe unless labeled otherwise. Decorative pieces can be used indoors or outside, but should not be left out during freezing conditions.

I have been working in clay for over ten years and am a member of the Michigan Ceramic Art Association, the National Craft Council,and the National Potters Council, and president of the Midland Artists Guild.
